What can Elitephysiotherapy treat? (in animals and humans)

• Muscles, Ligaments, Tendons and joints
• Spinal Pain
• Movement dysfunction
• Poor performance
• Post operative rehabilitation
• Check ups (i.e routine or pre/post competition or lay off)

What techniques do we use?

• Detailed history taking, movement assessment and palpatory assessment
• Hands on treatments – spinal mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, stretches, neuromuscular facilitation
• Electrotherapy – laser (and laser acupuncture), electromagnetic fields, neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES).
• Exercises – core stability, strength, stretches, balance / proprioception coordination

Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?

Most pet insurers cover physiotherapy treatment undertaken by a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist. You should check with your insurance company directly prior to starting treatment to ensure that costs will be met.
